Dr. Brown, a writer and research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of social Work, studied emotions like shame, fear and vulnerability. She identifies behavioral patterns. I identified with the procrastination pattern. I put off writing to reorganize,buy new office supplies, anything else, before beginning. It’s a curious thing? But now, I recognize this pattern and can resist the urge to procrastinate,before I begin the task at hand.
